This guide will show you how to apply your custom ‘View’ configuration across all folders in your Outlook desktop app.
You may have noticed that if you change the default 'View' in your Outlook desktop app, those changes don't carry over to other folders in your mailbox. Fortunately, there's a method to apply your custom 'View' to any folder you wish.
Follow the steps below:
- Open your Outlook desktop app.
- Click on ‘View’ at the top of your screen.
- Then click on ‘Change View’ -> ‘Apply Current View to Other Mail Folders…’.
- A window with the name ‘Apply View’ will open.
- From there, choose any folder and/or subfolder you want your custom view to apply to and then click on ‘Apply view to subfolders’, then ‘Ok’ to save your changes.
- Lastly, close your Outlook and open it again. Your layout should be the same across all folders and subfolders you chose in the previous step.
