These steps will show you how to connect to your work NAS Drive on your MacOS device.

You will need to know the IP address or URL of the NAS Drive you want to connect to. Be aware that most NAS Drives are set up to allow connections from restricted locations, so you might need to use a VPN, depending on how the set up was done.

  • On your Mac, click on Go -> Connect to Server...

  • A window will open where you can type the select or type the IP address or URL of the NAS Drive you want to connect to and then click on "Connect".

  • If you connect successfully, you will be asked for your credentials to access the NAS Drive.
  • If your credentials are correct, you will see the folders hosted in the NAS Drive, otherwise you will see an authentication error or connection error and you will need to double check that your IP Address/URL, username and password are correct.
